Extraordinary Meeting to consider Mossley Neighbourhood Plan

Neighbourhood Plan for Mossley Kicks Off!

Are you interested in the future direction of travel for the Town of Mossley?

If the answer is ”Yes!” then please come to the special meeting of the Town Council which will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 27 February 2023 at Mossley Methodist Church. You will be most welcome.

Mossley Town Council has agreed to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for the Mossley Parish area. As the Local Planning Authority, Tameside MBC has been consulted and will assist the Town Council in delivering the plan. The approved proposals will be incorporated into the formal planning polices for the Borough.

The meeting on 27 February will be the starting point for the Neighbourhood Plan process so you will be able to become involved right at the beginning of the process. As a member of our community, your input, however informal will be valued.

The meeting will consider the following issues:

1. The nature and role of the plan as a working document.
2. The development process of the Plan.
3. The initial stages to develop the plan.
4. Communications with the community, partners and organisations.
5. Where possible, initial “topic” areas for early discussion and development.
6. The establishment of an initial working structure to take these forward and ensure that proper records and controls are in place.

The Town Council understands that it may be difficult for some members of the community to attend an evening meeting and so on this occasion will allow residents to access the meeting via Zoom video conferencing.
