‘STEP INTO AUTUMN’ THIS OCTOBER

The Town Council is hoping to increase travel by foot or bicycle this Autumn.

Across Greater Manchester, every year 200 million car journeys are made for distances shorter than one kilometre, the equivalent of a 15-minute walk or a four-minute bike ride.

Make your steps count: for every walk you make where you may have driven, we’re asking those who can, to donate £1 to Mossley Foodbank.

You can donate directly to Mossley Foodbank (The Rowans,Mossley, Ashton under-Lyne)  or alternatively drop off food donations on Thursday mornings at The Rowans or at The Co-Op Mossley’s collection point.

Why not try a bigger walk with Greater Manchester’s Mossley Highs and Lows  Mossley Highs and Lows – GM Walking  or one of Mossley’s many walking groups.

If you get involved, we’d love to hear from you and how many walking, cycling or wheeling journeys you’ve made this October.
